Mail administration

Before using your new corporative mail, you must create mailboxes. To do it use mail administration panel. Enter your domain name without „www” in the „email” field, example „qhosting.lv”. Enter your password you received in hosting registration process in the „password” field. If you have lost your password, consult our technical support team. After successful entry you will see a menu and empty list of your mailboxes.

Creating a mailbox

To create a mailbox you must click the „add account” button, which will show a mailbox creation form with three fields:

  1. username - name of the mailbox user, this text will become the first part of mailbox address, the part before „@qhosting.lv”;
  2. name/comment - comment for your convenience. You can write here for example the name of employee or leave it blank;
  3. password - password for access to mailbox.

Rerouting

To avoid creating multiple mailboxes for a single employee, but different purposes, you can use rerouting. To do it, press the „add alias” button on mail administration panel. A form consisting of two fields will be shown:

  1. username - the first part of reroutable e-mail address till „@qhosting.lv”;
  2. address - mailbox which will be the destination of rerouting. It can be practiacally any address located on any mail servicem like „test@test.lv”.

Using a mailbox

There are two variants as how to use the mailbox. You can access it via web-interface, which is handy, because this way you can access the mailbox from any computer connected to the Internet. You just have to go to our main page and type in your e-mail address and password in the „Webmail” form on the right. You can also use a special program like Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird.
